Job Description
Our client, a growing name in the entertainment space is seeking a Social Media Designer Manager/Content Creator to support our digital presence across multiple brands and titles.
This is a remote freelance position (40 hours a week) that is ongoing for the right person. Must be US based.
Our client is a top entertainment studio with deep roots in gaming, films, and prestige indie cinema. We’re looking for someone who not only understands social platforms, but genuinely loves games, movies, and indie films—and can translate that passion into visually compelling, on-brand content.
Responsibilities
- Concept, design, and produce engaging social media assets (static, motion, short-form video, stories, carousels, etc.) for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Coordinate end-to-end content publishing: build content calendars, prepare copy and assets, schedule and post content, and ensure consistent execution across channels.
- Adapt key art, stills, trailers, gameplay footage, and behind-the-scenes materials into platform-specific creative.
- Collaborate with marketing, creative, and production teams to support campaigns for films, series, and games—from early teasers through release and sustain phases.
- Monitor social channels for key beats (launches, announcements, events, premieres, awards, etc.) and respond quickly with timely content.
- Ensure all content follows brand guidelines, legal/clearance requirements, and platform best practices.
- Track performance of posts and provide basic reporting and insights to help refine creative and posting strategies.
- Stay on top of emerging social trends, formats, and tools relevant to entertainment and gaming audiences.
Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of experience in social media design, digital content creation, or a similar creative role—preferably within entertainment, gaming, or related industries.
- Strong design skills with a polished aesthetic and an understanding of entertainment and gaming culture.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects) or equivalent design and editing tools.
- Demonstrated ability to create optimized content for major social platforms, including vertical video.
- Experience owning publishing workflows: drafting captions, tagging, scheduling, and posting content.
- Deep interest in and knowledge of movies, indie film, and gaming—you speak the language of fans and communities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working independently in an offsite/freelance capacity while staying responsive to a distributed team.
