Freight Broker Agent - Be a Boss!

About the Role

We’re looking for experienced, self-driven Freight Agents to operate as independent contractors. This is a true 1099 opportunity—you run your book of business while leveraging our carrier network, back-office support, and technology to move freight efficiently and profitably.

If you already have customers and want better support—or you’re ready to build your own book without micromanagement—this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

• Source, book, and manage freight across available modes (Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, etc.)
• Develop and maintain your own customer relationships and carrier base
• Negotiate rates with shippers and carriers to maximize margin
• Track shipments from pickup to delivery and resolve issues as they arise
• Ensure accurate documentation, compliance, and communication
• Work independently while collaborating with internal operations support as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Previous freight brokerage or logistics experience preferred
• Existing book of business strongly preferred (but not required)
• Strong negotiation, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline
• Familiarity with TMS systems and freight market trends
• Reliable internet and phone access
