[4002] Founding Social Media Manager (Creator & Strategy)

CUEPER

[4002] Founding Social Media Manager (Creator & Strategy) — Partner (HOM-Track)

About Us

We are a tech-driven roadside-assistance platform on a mission to turn car-trouble panic into white-glove peace of mind. To scale across multiple U.S. states and win the category, we need a builder-operator who can architect our social engine from day one, owning the story, the systems, and the outcomes that turn attention into trust and trust into growth.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Founding Social Media Manager (Creator & Strategy) to lead and own our social presence from the ground up. In this role, you will shape how our brand shows up across social platforms at moments when trust, clarity, and speed matter most—often before customers ever need our service.

You will define our social voice, content strategy, and creator ecosystem, turning real-world moments into meaningful content that builds credibility, drives engagement, and supports growth. From organic storytelling to creator collaborations and paid amplification, you will establish the standards, systems, and creative direction that will guide our future social, creator, and community teams.

Location & Work Model

  • Remote-flexible work model.
  • Occasional travel for team on-sites or customer visits may be requested as we scale.

Key Responsibilities

Social Infrastructure & Operating System

  • Stand up our end-to-end social stack (planning, creation, approvals, publishing, listening, measurement).
  • Build a weekly content cadence across platforms with documented playbooks, brand voice, and QA (accessibility, captions, alt text).
  • Create an asset library and tagging taxonomy for rapid repurposing across formats.

Strategy, Positioning & Narrative

  • Define our channel strategy (LinkedIn, YouTube/Shorts, TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook; plus community platforms as needed).
  • Craft narrative arcs: category education, founder POV, customer stories, partner spotlights, service reliability, and market expansion updates.
  • Translate business priorities (city launches, SLAs, partnerships, hiring) into editorial calendars with measurable goals.

Content Creation (You Make The Work)

  • Write, film, edit, and ship: short-form video, carousels, threads, and thought-leadership posts.
  • Develop visual systems/templates for speed and consistency; maintain brand kit.
  • Capture/produce field content with providers and customers (with releases/consents secured).

Distribution, Growth & Community

  • Own publishing, timing, and hooks; test thumbnails, headlines, and packaging to maximize watch time and CTR.
  • Run community management with empathy and speed; build a “surprise & delight” playbook for customer moments.
  • Establish creator/UGC pipelines, referral loops, and ambassador programs with clear briefs and rights.

Performance, Insights & Experimentation

  • Define KPIs and dashboards: reach, engagement rate, watch time/retention, save/share rate, CTR to site/app, lead quality, CAC contribution, sentiment/share of voice.
  • Ship weekly performance reviews and monthly learnings; design experiments, measure lift, and scale what works.

Paid Social & Amplification (Early, Then Scale)

  • Stand up test-and-learn boosts for winning organic assets; partner with Growth on retargeting and lookalikes.
  • Build feedback loops between ads and organic to improve creative efficiency.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with Ops/CX for service updates and response playbooks; with Product for feature education; with Talent for employer brand; with Partnerships for co-marketing.
  • Support Investor Relations moments (milestones, launches) with crisp, compliant narratives.

Brand Safety, Compliance & Risk

  • Implement FTC disclosure standards for UGC/influencers; secure music/asset licensing; manage content rights.
  • Set escalation paths for sensitive comments, incidents, or press-worthy events; maintain a streamlined crisis-response checklist.

Vendor & Creator Management

  • Source and manage a lightweight bench of freelancers/creators for surge capacity (motion, captions, VO, localization).
  • Negotiate clear scopes, usage rights, and performance expectations.

People Leadership

  • Hire and develop a lean, high-caliber social/creative pod over time (editor, motion, community).
  • Establish cadences (weekly planning, content reviews, postmortems) and a culture of speed, quality, and learning.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years building social or high-growth brands; you’ve owned strategy and shipped creative yourself.
  • Video-first creator: you can script, shoot, light, edit, caption, and ship platform-native content with retention in mind.
  • Systems builder who has implemented a full social OS (calendar, approvals, DAM, analytics, listening) and documented playbooks.
  • Performance mindset: you connect content to outcomes—traffic, leads, applications, sentiment—and iterate using data.
  • Comfortable on founder-brand and company-brand; confident writing executive POV and translating it to platform tone.
  • Tool fluency: Adobe Suite or CapCut, Descript, Figma, Google Workspace, Notion/Asana, Sprout/Later/Buffer, GA4/Looker Studio, native platform analytics.
  • Brand safety discipline: FTC disclosures, UGC rights, licensing, accessibility best practices.
  • Calm, high-integrity communicator who thrives in fast, public, occasionally messy environments.
  • Bilingual (EN/ES) a plus. Automotive/mobility, marketplace, or field-service experience a plus.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
