Substrata Media is a next-generation entertainment company blending cinematic storytelling with daily multi-camera livestreams from our FreeRaceHorse.com platform. Our content drives emotional engagement, animal-centered storytelling, and real-time viewer participation.

We produce all content internally — this role focuses mainly on posting, timing, engagement, and execution, very little content creation.

We’re looking for a sharp, reliable professional who wants to grow with us and understands the rhythm and discipline of daily social media operations.

Position Overview

We are hiring a U.S.-based, work-from-home Social Media Coordinator with 3+ years of hands-on social media experience. This is NOT an agency position — we want a dedicated individual who can work closely with our team, follow structured schedules, and help drive daily livestream promotions across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

This is an execution-focused role working directly with our leadership and content production team.

Responsibilities

Posting & Scheduling

  • Upload and schedule daily short-form content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Follow a detailed daily posting schedule tied to live stream times
  • Post “Live Now” announcements and handle real-time updates
  • Maintain consistency in captions, hashtags, formatting, and brand tone

Livestream Operational Support

  • Coordinate and post promotional content 2–3 hours before the live show
  • Trigger boosted posts and paid promotions during the livestream (training provided)
  • Use Meta Business Suite, TikTok Promote, and YouTube Studio for scheduling and boosts
  • Monitor live comments and escalate important ones
  • Track live metrics: peak concurrency, total live views, audience reactions

Engagement & Community Maintenance

  • Respond to comments using approved messaging
  • Pin top comments and manage community conversations
  • Moderate spam or inappropriate content
  • Collaborate daily with internal leadership via chat tools

Reporting & Coordination

  • Log daily performance in shared spreadsheets
  • Communicate issues immediately (posting errors, platform bugs, live issues)
  • Attend 2–3 weekly team meetings
  • Work closely with our content producer to maintain a smooth workflow

Required Qualifications

U.S.-based only (Required)

3+ years professional social media experience

Strong working knowledge of

  • Meta Business Suite
  • Facebook/Instagram boosting
  • TikTok Promote
  • YouTube Studio

Ability to follow strict schedules and execute tasks on time

Excellent written English and communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple platforms quickly and accurately

Comfortable with light data tracking and reporting

Must be available during required posting windows (10AM–6PM ET)

Preferred Qualifications (Not required but a plus)

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Familiarity with horses, animal care, or rescue content
  • Experience supporting livestreams or daily publishing schedules
  • Understanding of short-form video performance patterns

Schedule & Hours

  • 20–25 hours per week to start
  • Potential increase to 30–35 hours per week as the role expands
  • Work hours primarily between 10AM–6PM Eastern
  • Must be available 6 days a week
  • Must attend 2–3 team meetings per week
  • Daily collaboration required through messaging platforms

Compensation

  • Starting: $25/hour
  • After 4 months: Eligible for increase to $30–$40/hour based on performance, reliability, and competency
  • 1099 contractor or W2 (your choice depending on structure)
