Role Overview

Join the team behind the Pet Lovers’ Choice Awards, a nationally televised celebration honoring the most beloved pets and pet brands. As a Social Media Community Management Intern, you’ll play a key role in engaging our passionate pet-loving audience, driving awareness, and supporting real-time conversations across social platforms during an exciting awards season.

This role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in social media, community engagement, and event marketing within a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in strategic DM outreach to pet accounts, creators, and fans to drive traffic and award submissions
• Monitor and respond to comments across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook to foster an active, welcoming community
• Answer audience questions promptly and professionally across social platforms
• Support engagement initiatives and contribute ideas to increase excitement and participation around the event
• Assist with day-to-day community management tasks during key campaign moments

Qualifications

• Open to individuals seeking hands-on experience in social media and community management (students, recent graduates, or early-career professionals)
• Passion for social media, pets, and entertainment or event marketing
• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
• Organized, proactive, and comfortable engaging with online audiences
• Students eligible for school credit are welcome but not required

Compensation

• Hourly and/or performance-based compensation
