Job Description

  • In this role, you will manage and grow Salt Strong’s entire social media ecosystem across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • You will track platform performance, identify growth opportunities, and support member acquisition by guiding social followers into the Salt Strong community.
  • This role directly supports our mission to help anglers learn, connect, and catch more fish through consistent, high-quality social media content.
  • You may also be responsible for managing the private Insider Community when the Community manager is away, this includes: daily publishing, Community engagement, moderating conversations, and ensuring a positive and educational experience for our audience.
  • Own daily social posting across Facebook Page, Facebook Group, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Community Tab, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Publish a minimum of: 1 IG feed post per day + 5+ IG stories 1 FB Page post per day + 5+ FB stories 1–2 FB Group posts per week + 1 engagement-focused post 5–6 TikTok videos per week 2 YouTube Community posts per day 4 YouTube Shorts per week.
  • Source, organize, and schedule content from the internal content library, drive folders, blogs, and coach-submitted content.
  • Ensure posts follow Salt Strong’s brand voice, accuracy standards, community tone, and compliance expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Content Team to maintain a consistent weekly and monthly publish cadence.
  • Monitor and respond to comments across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Moderate Facebook Pages and Groups, including approving/denying group requests, removing spam, hiding inappropriate comments, and escalating sensitive issues.
  • Respond to direct messages via Meta Business Suite and YouTube as appropriate, handing off technical questions to coaches when needed.
  • Maintain a positive, educational, respectful community atmosphere across all touchpoints.
  • Assist Customer Service and Shipping teams by identifying issues surfaced through social channels.
  • Execute consistent weekly growth strategies to increase followers, reach, impressions, engagement, and retention across all platforms.
  • Develop, test, and optimize new post formats, story styles, hooks, and engagement prompts.
  • Use data from analytics tools (Meta Insights, YouTube Studio, TikTok Analytics, HubSpot) to identify high-performing content and replicate success.
  • Identify trends, viral formats, fishing-related seasonal spikes, and relevant community conversations to maximize visibility.
  • Use UTM links, Google Campaign URL Builder, and HubSpot attribution tools to track conversions from social media to Salt Strong membership.
  • Monitor weekly conversions attributed to social channels and report performance trends.
  • Update and maintain the Social Media Scorecard to reflect follower growth, engagement metrics, posting consistency, and membership conversions.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Operations to align social content with member promotions, launches, and key seasonal initiatives.
  • Upload YouTube Shorts and optimize metadata based on best practices (title, description, hashtags, CTAs).
  • Engage with comments on long-form YouTube videos to support community retention and viewer relationship building.
  • Work with the Content Lead (Alex) to align Shorts and Community Tab posts with long-form content releases.
  • Maintain and update content calendars across all platforms.
  • Track content performance weekly and provide summary analytics for the Content Team.
  • Assist with influencer social amplification when needed.
  • Support special projects (raffles, events, product launches, tackle promotions, webinars).
  • Attend internal meetings and communicate platform insights to guide content strategy.

Requirements

  • Consistently maintains the daily posting cadence across all platforms without gaps.
  • Demonstrates strong judgment when moderating communities, responding to comments, and handling sensitive issues.
  • Tracks and reports social performance accurately, using UTM links, platform analytics, and HubSpot attribution.
  • Shows steady, measurable improvement in follower growth, reach, engagement, and social-driven conversions.
  • Communicates effectively with the Content Team, Coaches, Customer Service, and Leadership.
  • Stays organized with content planning, scheduling, and asset management.
  • Proactively identifies new trends, formats, and opportunities to grow the brand’s reach.
  • Maintains a positive, solutions-oriented attitude and embraces feedback to continuously improve.
