The role involves developing and executing a social media strategy, creating compliant content, and engaging with the audience to attract potential clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive marketing and content strategy tailored to the personal injury practice area.
  • Establish a creative, cohesive social media theme that aligns with the firm’s brand, values, and audience.
  • Plan and maintain a monthly content calendar to ensure consistent posting and engagement.
  • Conduct competitor research to identify trends and engagement opportunities within the legal community.
  • Write, design, and publish high-quality, original posts (graphics, captions, videos, stories, and reels) for Facebook and Instagram.
  • Create engaging, educational, and compliant content explaining personal injury topics, client rights, case outcomes, community involvement, and testimonials (as permissible).
  • Use Canva, Adobe, or similar tools to design professional, branded visuals.
  • Incorporate SEO and keyword strategies to optimize reach and visibility.
  • Handle daily posting, respond to comments and direct messages in a professional and timely manner.
  • Proactively engage with followers, local businesses, and community groups to increase visibility.
  • Use relevant hashtags, tagging, and geotargeting strategies to enhance organic reach.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration, cross-promotion, or community involvement.
  • Ensure all content complies with State Bar advertising rules, including avoiding misleading, deceptive, or unverifiable claims.
  • Review all marketing materials for accuracy, disclaimers, and compliance with attorney advertising regulations.
  • Stay updated on evolving legal marketing ethics to maintain compliance at all times.
  • Track and analyze engagement metrics (reach, impressions, clicks, followers, conversions, etc.).
  • Provide monthly reports summarizing performance, insights, and recommendations.
  • Adjust strategy based on analytics to improve growth and audience engagement.

Skills

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing social media for a law firm, preferably in personal injury.
  • Strong understanding of Facebook and Instagram algorithms, trends, and best practices.
  • Proven experience creating compliant, effective, and engaging content for legal professionals.
  • Excellent copywriting, design, and storytelling skills.
  • Familiarity with ethics rules for attorney advertising (ABA Model Rules and California-specific rules preferred).
  • Proficiency with Canva, Meta Business Suite, scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite), and basic video editing.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills—able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable with minimal supervision and capable of running all social media operations from A to Z.
  • Experience working with California-based law firms.
  • Knowledge of local SEO and paid advertising (Facebook Ads, Meta Boosts).
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and website traffic tracking.
