[Remote] Social Media Strategist (Senior Account Executive, Digital)

MikeWorldWide is seeking a Social Media Strategist to join their Digital team and provide social media strategy and support for clients. This role involves managing social media campaigns, mentoring junior team members, and enhancing social offerings to ensure the team stays ahead in the digital landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Digital Practice to help enhance social offerings, as well as train and develop colleagues to ensure our team's capabilities are staying ahead of the curve
  • Manage the overall quality of work by demonstrating professionalism and team leadership as a day-to-day client contact, leading internal meetings and client calls; assist in successfully growing existing accounts in meaningful areas
  • Deliver client-ready materials, including strategic programs/plans; edit junior team materials
  • Collaborate on or lead proposals, staffing plans, and timelines for client projects; partner with digital executives and peers on budgetary issues, including staffing and account profitability
  • Propose and implement social media strategy alongside team members; develop content strategy and plans
  • Craft multiple facets of campaigns including social strategy development, paid media strategy development, content development, influencer programming, campaign execution, and analytics and reporting to help clients meet business objectives
  • Oversee day-to-day social presence, community management and content distribution/curation with specific focus on Meta, X, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube
  • Manage and mentor junior team members, sharing expertise and guidance across all facets accounts
  • Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed to maximize traffic, engagement, and growth potential across all platforms
  • Understand how to determine online measurement and ROI metrics needed to evaluate campaign results against objectives; evaluate results against objectives, programs and plans
  • Work closely with in-house Creative team to ideate and produce video and graphics as needed
  • Research relevant industry experts, competitors, target audience and users
  • Willingness to travel, if necessary, and attend off-site events and meetings

Skills

  • At least 3 years of social media experience (post-graduation) that includes direct supervision of day-to-day operations of a large consumer client - spanning content strategy and development, influencer marketing, and paid media
  • Prior experience with social media listening (Netbase, Meltwater, Brandwatch, etc.), publishing (Sprinklr, etc.), social media competitive intelligence (Rival IQ etc.) and measurement platforms are musts; experience with influencer marketing tools such as Captiv8 is preferred
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the latest trends in social media content creation, platforms and consumption
  • Knowledge of social media advertising options and management on Meta, X, BlueSky, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube and/or LinkedIn
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Shines in a fast-paced environment, managing frequent tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining client interaction on a daily basis and helping the account team retain and grow the business
  • Ability to 'get smart quickly'; understand new concepts and learn swiftly
  • Strong reporting skills and the ability to turn data into insights and recommendations
  • Experience with influencer marketing tools such as Captiv8
  • Understanding of graphic design principles is a plus
