Social Media Associate (Remote)

Be a part of the largest New Jersey lifestyle brand and website for parents — NJMOM is hiring a part-time (contract) Social Media Associate (about 5-15 hrs per week with potential for more) to help with social media content. Please note: This position is remote, but you MUST live in New Jersey as you will be visiting local businesses in addition to working remotely.

Responsibilities include

– Must be able to shoot content at local businesses around New Jersey (travel paid for)

  • Must be able to create a Reel/ TikTok with and without a voiceover
  • Post on social platforms (Instagram/ Stories, TikTok/ Stories) in fun ways to engage followers, including sometimes on weekends and evenings
  • Community engagement (commenting, DM's) as needed
  • Prior social media content creation experience REQUIRED (your personal page counts!)

Note- Please look at @njmom on Instagram and TikTok. You MUST be able to shoot and create similar content.

MUST HAVE

– Knowledge of fun family-friendly activities in New Jersey. You don't have to be a mom, but you HAVE to be in the know.

– Knowledge of (or excitement to learn) Google Drive and Dropbox

  • Familiarity with social trends and analytics
  • Video editing skills and creation of shareable videos

– Old school work ethic!

– Pay attention to detail, and have excellent writing, editorial, grammatical and communication skills

– People skills, ability to focus/stay organized under pressure, working well in a virtual team environment

  • Canva experience and Instagram Edits a plus

– Ability to work remotely

Once you email, we will be sending over an edit test to complete, and then scheduling interviews the following week.
