Internship Overview
Seedling Inc. is seeking a Social Media & Marketing Intern who is creative, self-motivated, and passionate about social impact. They will have a meaningful role in expanding Seedling’s social media presence and strengthening our fundraising efforts. This is a remote position.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media
- Create engaging content for our various social media platforms, such as Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
- Increase brand visibility via followers and engagement
- Promote Seedling Inc. programs, community impact, and partners
Marketing
- Publish newsletters, email campaigns, and outreach initiatives
- Create short-form videos with engaging storytelling
- Promote our services to schools and non-profits
Fundraising
- Donor retention: Keep donors up to date with where their funding went to
- Research and initiate potential corporate sponsors and private donors.
- Support community and digital fundraising efforts
Digital Presence
- Improve search engine optimization (SEO)
- Track performance metrics
- Improve online visibility
Initiatives
- Lead or co-lead a fundraising, marketing, and awareness campaign from conception to execution
- Contribute to creative ideas for campaigns and outreach strategies
Structure
- Fully remote position
- Weekly check-ins with a supervisor
- Minimum commitment of 6 months
- 5 - 10 hours weekly commitment
Salary
- Unpaid. This role does not replace paid staff. The internship is designed to provide professional development and educational experiences.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in social impact, marketing, communications, and non-profit work
- Familiarity with social media platforms
- Experience with Canva, SEO analytics, and video editing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
