[Remote] Business Development Manager - EdTech (Remote)

UP Talent Group is partnering with an early-stage company dedicated to transforming K-8 education, which is a national leader in technology-enabled STEAM education. They are seeking dynamic Business Development Managers to expand outreach and drive new business initiatives in the K-8 STEM/STEAM education market.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the K-8 STEM/STEAM education market, including schools, districts, and educational organizations
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve annual sales targets
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align strategies and create compelling value propositions for potential clients
  • Cold outreach, build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the education sector, including school administrators, educators, and policymakers
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential challenges in primary and lower-secondary education
  • Prepare and deliver engaging presentations and demonstrations of our products and solutions to prospective clients
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with new partners and clients, ensuring favorable terms for the company
  • Track and analyze business development metrics and report on progress to the leadership team

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business development and sales within the EdTech or K-8 education sector
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets (quotes of $500,000 and higher) and developing successful business strategies
  • Strong understanding of the K-8 education landscape, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Proficient in CRM software (HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Specifically focuses on the Western regions of the US
  • Willing and flexible to travel on an as-needed basis
  • STEM/STEAM sales experience
  • Experience working for early-stage or start-ups
  • Experience with data analysis tools
