Fix Broken RSS Feeds for WordPress Tag Pages (Python & R)

I run a long‑standing technical blog at arilamstein.com/blog, where posts are tagged by language (“Python” or “R”). Each tag has its own RSS feed:

• Python feed: https://arilamstein.com/tag/Python/feed/
• R feed: https://arilamstein.com/tag/R/feed/

These feeds are syndicated by external aggregators (Planet Python and R‑Bloggers), so reliability is important.

Both feeds are currently empty and no longer update. A recent post I published did not appear in either feed, so I temporarily unpublished it until this issue is resolved.

This same problem occurred last year. A freelancer fixed it at the time, but the issue has returned. The site has been stable for nearly a decade, so I’m looking for someone who can not only fix the feeds but also explain why this is happening now.

What I’m Looking For

This is a small but critical task. I’m specifically seeking someone with senior‑level WordPress and RSS troubleshooting experience who can:

• Diagnose why the tag‑based RSS feeds are empty
• Fix the issue so the feeds update correctly going forward
• Identify the root cause (theme, plugin, caching, custom code, etc.)
• Provide a clear explanation of what broke and how you fixed it
• Help me understand how to prevent this from recurring

Requirements

• Deep experience with WordPress internals, RSS generation, and feed debugging
• Ability to identify and resolve plugin/theme conflicts
• Strong communication — I want to understand the fix, not just receive a patch
• Familiarity with syndication platforms (Planet Python, R‑Bloggers) is a plus
