Techno-Functional RPA Consultant – UiPath for a Remote Contract

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Techno-Functional RPA Consultant with deep expertise in UiPath to lead the design, development, and deployment of automation solutions across business functions. This role bridges the gap between business process understanding and technical implementation, ensuring scalable and efficient automation delivery.

  • Must work Pacific Time Zone hours
  • 3 – 6 month contract to start
  • 40 hour work week, Monday – Friday
  • Contract is only open for 1099 or Corp-2-Corp. ( NO w2 contract)

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Assessment & Design
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and assess feasibility.
  • Conduct process discovery workshops and create detailed process documentation (PDDs, SDDs).
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Solution Development
  • Design and develop end-to-end automation solutions using UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, and other UiPath components.
  • Integrate RPA with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, databases, APIs).
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, security, and exception handling.
  • Deployment & Support
  • Manage bot deployment, scheduling, and monitoring via UiPath Orchestrator.
  • Provide post-deployment support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Maintain documentation and version control for all automation assets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure alignment.
  • Provide training and support to business users and developers.
  • Present automation outcomes and ROI metrics to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in RPA, with at least 2 years focused on UiPath.
  • Strong understanding of business processes across domains (Finance, HR, Supply Chain, etc.).
  • Proficiency in UiPath Studio, Orchestrator
  • Good understanding of Microsoft 365 products - especially Sharepoint
  • Experience with SQL, APIs, and basic scripting (VB.NET, C#, Python).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to create PDDs, SDDs, and UAT documentation.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery and SDLC practices.

Preferred Skills

  • UiPath certifications (Developer, Solution Architect) preferred.
  • Experience with Power Automate
  • Exposure to AI/ML integrations with RPA.
  • Experience with process mining tools (e.g., Klarity, UiPath Process Mining).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of IT governance and compliance standards.
  • Experience in RPA for regulated processes in Life Sciences
