Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and well-connected Channel Sales Manager to architect and lead the omnichannel distribution strategy for our flagship brand, Sleeping Pal. This is a foundational role for a proven leader with an established network and a documented history of driving market penetration in the competitive baby and kids product sector. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in building our route-to-market, securing key partnerships with major retailers, online marketplaces, and distributor networks to accelerate revenue growth and brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
Omnichannel Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth across online and offline (e.g., national retail chains, regional stores, independent boutiques) channels.
Create and manage a targeted account plan to penetrate new channels and maximize revenue within existing accounts.
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and negotiation to closing and ongoing relationship management.
Channel Management & Development
Online Channel: Manage relationships with key online marketplaces and e-commerce retailers. Oversee and optimize product listings, promotional plans, and advertising strategies in collaboration with the marketing team.
Offline/Retail Channel: Leverage an existing network to secure new retail distribution. Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, distributors, and independent sales rep groups for brick-and-mortar stores.
Develop co-op advertising, merchandising, and promotional programs tailored to the needs of each channel.
Relationship & Network Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value channel partners, ensuring exceptional service and strategic alignment.
Proactively network and represent Sleeping Pal at major industry trade shows to identify new partnership opportunities.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements that meet company margin targets and strategic goals.
Business Analysis & Forecasting
Utilize data analytics to monitor sales performance, inventory sell-through, and market trends across all channels.
Develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets, providing regular performance reports to leadership.
Provide actionable market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Qualifications
Must Have: A verifiable and active network of relationships with buyers at major US retailers, key national and regional distributors, and established independent sales rep groups.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of progressive sales experience in the consumer goods sector, with a mandatory focus on the baby, kids, or juvenile products market.
Technical & Industry Knowledge
Deep understanding of the US retail and e-commerce landscape, including the operational nuances of online marketplaces (e.g., Vendor Central, Seller Central) and brick-and-mortar retail requirements.
Strong financial acumen with experience in negotiation, pricing strategy, and P&L management.

Compensation
Base Salary: USD 45,000 annual base salary.
Commission Scheme: High commission scheme based on sales performance, providing significant earning potential up to $150,000
Expense Account: A comprehensive expense account for travel and client entertainment.
Work Environment
Fully Remote: This position is primarily remote.
