[Remote] Systematics/FIS Software Engineer(open on both w2 and c2c)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Zillion Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Systematics Software Engineer to join their high-impact team within Retail Bank Technology. The role involves designing and building robust software solutions using FIS/Systematics applications and COBOL, while tackling complex integration challenges in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, integrate, test, and support reusable software solutions aligned with business goals
• Perform systems analysis, create specifications, write and test COBOL code, and implement application programs and data interfaces
• Develop and support complex financial applications using GN, RM, MA, IM, and ST modules within FIS/Systematics
• Influence technical decisions and collaborate across teams to drive scalability, availability, maintainability, and flexibility
• Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems and resolve high-impact issues promptly

Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with FIS/Systematics in a financial services environment
• Hands-on expertise in COBOL, JCL, and VSAM on IBM mainframes
• Experience with Ad Hoc reporting tools like Easytrieve or DYL
• Proficiency in mainframe utilities (e.g., SORT, IDCAMS)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to participate in on-call support for mission-critical systems
• 5+ years of experience developing batch and CICS applications
• Experience with SQL, relational databases, or automated testing tools
• Familiarity with AWS or cloud-based integration models

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
