At Blender, the selected candidate will join an experienced team of innovative communicators to produce dynamic, results-oriented work. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies, creating engaging content, managing social media platforms, analyzing performance, and engaging with online communities for a variety of clients. There is always potential for growth within the company. Work remotely and attend in-person events and meetings, as needed.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day responsibilities include content creation, scheduling posts, monitoring channels, engaging with followers, and analyzing performance, all while supporting the overall social media strategies and goals of our clients.
Content creation and curation
o Draft engaging content for various social media platforms to provide content calendars for various clients, make revisions as needed.
o Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and messaging, includes proper links, tags, and hashtags.
o Follow industry trends and best practices.
o Create social media images and videos with support from Blender’s graphic designer.
o Schedule social media content, post live as needed.
Platform management
o Perform multiple daily channel checks on all client platforms.
o Engage with audiences, answer messages, respond to comments in a timely manner.
o Identify and follow people/organizations on behalf of clients to grow their social media communities.
o Monitor channels for trends, insights and mentions.
o Research industry trends and best practices.
Live coverage
o Attend client events to showcase activity on their social media platforms.
o Capture video and photo assets.
o Encourage attendees to be active on social media during the event.
· Community engagement and influencer management
o Build and foster relationships with online communities related to each of our clients.
o Identify influencers for various client campaigns and events.
o Craft invitations and materials, as needed.
o Manage influencers through events and promotions.
Reporting
o Set platform goals and monitor results.
o Perform monthly reporting.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, social media, graphic design, or a related field.
o 1-2 years of experience preferred, new graduates welcome to apply with relevant internship or project examples.
o Experience in social media, analytical reporting, non-profit communication, writing, and editing, photography, videography.
· A positive, enthusiastic, self-starter with a strong desire to do good.
· Ability to work remotely, act quickly, and demonstrate good decision-making skills.
· Must possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage various assignments for multiple clients at once.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills.
· Passionate about finding new and interesting ways to tell stories via social media.
· Personally and professionally comfortable with social media platforms and tools.
o Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Canva, Sprout Social, etc.
· Strong communicator, written and verbal.
· Comfort and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Salary and Benefits
· $35,000-$38,000 (to be negotiated)
· United HealthCare options, savings plan, paid holiday and vacation time.
· Annual profitability has consistently yielded end-of-calendar year bonuses for employees.
