The Role: Tax Manager – Closely Held Businesses & Their Owners

You’ll oversee a mix of S-Corp, partnership, and multi-entity clients—plus the related 1040s for the business owners. The role is review-heavy with steady client contact, practical planning, and the ability to influence the direction of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

Review 1120S, 1065, 1040, and related ownership filings
Lead planning and strategy discussions directly with business owners
Advise on structure, elections, compensation strategy, basis, distributions, and multi-state issues
Support growth initiatives and help shape the firm’s direction
Mentor junior staff and help maintain a calm, organized workflow
Partner with leadership on more complex clients and projects

Ideal Candidate

5–10+ years in public accounting focused on pass-throughs and closely held businesses
Strong review experience across entity returns and related owner 1040s
Comfortable advising clients and leading planning conversations
Thrives in a remote, tech-forward environment
CPA or EA required
