Grant Writer

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong research skills and a passion for securing funding to support our mission. This role involves crafting compelling grant proposals and ensuring that all submissions meet the required guidelines and deadlines. The Grant Writer will work closely with various departments to gather information and develop proposals that effectively communicate our organization's goals and impact.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research on potential funding sources, including foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors.
• Develop and write clear, persuasive grant proposals that align with the funders' priorities and guidelines.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather relevant data, statistics, and narratives that support grant applications.
• Maintain organized records of grant applications, deadlines, and reporting requirements using databases such as Raiser Edge.
• Review and edit proposals for clarity, coherence, and compliance with funder requirements.
• Monitor the progress of submitted grants and provide updates to stakeholders as necessary.
• Assist in developing marketing materials that highlight the organization’s programs and successes to attract potential funders.

Experience

• Proven experience in grant writing or a related field is preferred.
• Strong research skills with the ability to identify funding opportunities that align with organizational goals.
• Familiarity with databases such as Raiser Edge is a plus.
• Excellent written communication skills with a focus on persuasive writing techniques.
• Customer service orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• A background in market analysis is beneficial for understanding funding trends and donor interests.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $24.59-$26.77 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
