Summary
The Piazza Center is seeking a creative and dynamic part-time Social Media Assistant or Intern to join our team for approximately 10 hours per week. This role is perfect for a social media enthusiast who is passionate about creating engaging content and staying ahead of the latest trends. The ideal candidate will assist the Marketing Manager with all social media and content creation duties, including producing high-quality video and photo content, helping manage our social media platforms, and growing our online presence. This position is mostly remote but requires a couple of hours per week in-office for filming, photography, and content creation.
Responsibilities
- Content Creation:
- Plan, shoot, and edit compelling video and photo content for Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube.
- Create visually appealing graphics and written content for social media posts.
- Help develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent posting, in collaboration with the Marketing Manager.
- Social Media Management:
- Manage and grow the Piazza Center's social media presence across various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.).
- Monitor social media trends and implement strategies to maximize engagement
- Engage with followers and respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Analyze social media metrics and provide reports on performance
- Video and Photo Production:
- Operate video and photo equipment (mostly iPhone) to capture high-quality footage and images.
- Edit videos and photos to create engaging and polished content.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest video and photo editing techniques and trends.
- Trend Awareness:
- Stay informed about the latest social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.
- Identify and capitalize on emerging trends to increase reach and engagement.
- Find and implement trending sounds, video styles, and photo styles to maximize content performance.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and other team members to develop and execute social media campaigns.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide creative input.
- In-Office Requirement:
- Must be able to work in the office one day per week for a couple of hours for filming, photography, and content creation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
- Proficiency in shooting and editing video and photo content for social media platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and technologies.
- Proficiency in video and photo editing software (Canva, Splice, Lightroom, CapCut, etc.).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Creative and innovative mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Portfolio of social media, video, and photo content is highly preferred.
- Ability to commit to roughly 10 hours a week of work.
