Title: Founding Mobile (iOS/ Android) Developer/Engineer for Stealth Startup (Part Time)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area or Sacramento Suburbs (Rocklin/Roseville), Northern California (Preferred)

Role is remote but would like to meet you in person and also collaborate in person from time to time.

About:

We’re looking for a skilled mobile developer (iOS/Android) to join as a founding team member. Part time to begin with and then full time if all goes well.

The Role:

As the Founding Engineer, we will have you start part time to mainly maintain the current tech stack for our mobile apps. The role is mainly to maintain the mobile apps and make sure they are kept running - if there are any issues, to resolve those issues. Typically around the database and AWS server issues. You could also be tasked with doing updates for new features, changes and platform enhancements to the apps.

What You'll Do:

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and fix bugs, and continuously improve the app’s performance.
• At times also do updates to the platform. Manage changes/projects and the offshore team on new enhancements are needed.

Required Skills:

• iOS Development: Strong experience with Swift and Xcode.
• Android Development: Expertise in Java and Android Studio.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration of third-party libraries and APIs.
• Experience with version control (Git, GitHub).
• AWS Servers
• Familiarity with mobile UI/UX standards and design patterns.
• Ability to debug and optimize app performance for efficiency.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with Kotlin for Android or Objective-C for iOS.
• FIGMA - know your way around using Figma to create designs or do updates.
• Experience with cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Flutter.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Firebase, etc.).
• Understanding of DevOps and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
