Are you a highly organized individual with a passion for social media and eager to kickstart your career in digital marketing? WebFX is seeking a motivated Virtual Assistant for Social Media Management to join our remote team. This is an excellent opportunity for beginners looking to gain hands-on experience in managing social media presence for various clients. You will play a crucial role in supporting our social media specialists, ensuring timely content delivery and community engagement across multiple platforms. This position is 100% remote, offering flexibility and the chance to work from anywhere in Obio-Akpor, Rivers State, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule and publish social media content across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn, following editorial calendars.
Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and messages, escalating key inquiries to the relevant team members.
Assist in drafting engaging social media captions and basic content ideas under guidance.
Perform basic research on trending topics, hashtags, and competitor activities to inform content strategy.
Help compile simple reports on social media performance metrics, such as engagement rates and follower growth.
Maintain organized records of social media assets, schedules, and login credentials.
Support the social media team with administrative tasks as needed.

Required Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Basic understanding of major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite).
A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
